Dear Mr. President

My ten year old adores Pink.

C'mon you know Pink! She's the cool chic who married Corey Hart....

Well, I may not have loved her before, but after listening to Dear Mr. President, I think that I love Pink now!

What are you waiting for? Click the link and listen for yourself!

Dear Mr. President, it's a song that says everything I would say...and more.

And I'm "sure" she could do a better job. For all the complaining I hear folks doing (I've done my share) of the job the President is doing (and don't get me wrong, we disagree on many points, I'm not some mindless robot folks accuse supporters of the Pres to be) I never hear any alternatives to anything. No answers just complaining and questions. As for the song it has its points.....but again, no answers. Throwing money at the educational system (thanks Pres Bush and Ted Kennedy) has never worked. Teachers are underpaid, and beaurocrats (my spell checker and I are outmatched on that one..sorry if it's misspelled) are overpaid. But there is no 10 cent answer to anything. We should pray for all our leaders, even the ones that just rub us the wrong way so to speak. Why is it we'll give other folks the benefit of the doubt, but not our leaders. Sure some have been corrupt in the past, and if that can be proven, they should be out in a heartbeat. Notice I said proven, not accused. How come everyone else in America is innocent until proven guilty, but not the Pres? I guess I'm the one asking questions here.

I just thank God that my whole past and everything I've ever done isn't up in lights everyday, on the evening news, and in the newspapers. I could never be president with my past. But praise God for Jesus' sacrifice....that He has made me whole from my brokeness, and complete. I'm not perfect, and I don't expect anyone else to be either. James

James, we both know that you and I will never agree where this President and this administration are concerned.....in fact, we've been over much of this same territory before, haven't we?

I would just like to say however, that I believe there are alternatives, and creative solutions being offered to the problems you've raised in your comment. And it would probably please you to know that many of these proposals are coming from both sides of our two party political fence.

The problem is, most of us close our ears when it comes to listening to ideas that originate from perspectives which differ from our own.

I'm not suggesting that this is what you do; but alternatives and suggested solutions are being proffered and have been proffered all along.

As for your suggestion that Pink might be able to do a bang up job as President...well, who knows, maybe she would? I know my 10 year old would vote for her!

Regardless, I still love the song, "Dear Mr. President". It asks the questions I myself have asked.

James, thanks for leaving your comment. I think it takes courage to speak out as you have done here. Even though we disagree on much, we agree on the most important things; and those things are, the miracle of God's love and the saving grace of Jesus Christ!
